Onondaga Jr./Sr. High School Hosts Onondaga County E...
The Onondaga Central School District was honored to have been the site of Ryan McMahon’s 7th State of the County address last week. The seats of Onondaga Jr./Sr. High School auditorium were filled with the local dignitaries, constituents and members of the press as Pastor Decarto Draper began with the Opening Invocation. Onondaga High School student and National Honor Society Secretary, Madelyn Schultz, then had the opportunity to lead the Pledge of Allegiance. As an added point of pride, Onondaga County Legislator of the 11th District, Richard McCarron, was also in attendance. Being an OCS resident, he proudly spoke about having a front row seat to the growth and advancement of the district before introducing Superintendent Rob Price to the stage. One of the reasons that Onondaga Central School District was chosen for McMahon’s address was to highlight Le Moyne’s ERIE 21 Technology Education Program. Thanks to Onondaga County providing a $250,000 grant last year, the program was able to expand, allowing students from OCS and LaFayette school districts to participate. We look forward to our continued role in this program’s overall success. For more information about the ERIE 21 program, check out this video featuring students and staff around the district:
