  • Address Changes for Students

    Dear Parents/Guardians, If you have moved recently, please make sure you let your child(ren)'s school know your new address immediately so it can be changed in PowerSchool.  All school districts across North Carolina that have not already are moving to a new student information system this summer, and we must have accurate address information.  We will share more information on our new system soon.  Address changes must also be made now in order for North Carolina's Summer SUN Bucks benefits to be sent to the right address.   • 2024-25 Indicator 8 Parent Survey

    The NC Department of Public Instruction, Office of Exceptional Children, is asking for your input through the 2024-2025 Parent Survey – Special Education. This is a survey for parents of children receiving special education services. Your responses will help guide efforts to improve services and results for children and families. Filling out this survey is completely voluntary and you will not be asked to provide your name or other personally identifiable information.  States are required to collect certain demographic information, which will be asked at the end of the survey.    If you have any questions, call the Office of Exceptional Children at (984) 236-2550 or the Exceptional Children’s Assistance Center (ECAC) at (800) 962-6817. This survey is open now and will remain open through June 30, 2025. Thank you for taking the time to participate and assist us in improving education for children with disabilities in North Carolina.   • Road Closure - Fire Tower Road Near Wiccacanee Swamp...

    The North Carolina Department of Transportation has closed the bridge over the Wiccacanee Swamp on Fire Tower Road (located approximately 1.8 miles east of US Highway 158) until no later than June 2, 2025 due to the replacement of the bridge.  If you need to reach areas east of this bridge closure on Fire Tower Road, you will need to use NCHS Road to Fire Tower Road as your detour route.

    🚨  Attention Parents! 🚨 Starting Monday, January 27, 2025, some of our schools in the district will have new hours for the rest of the school year. Please take note of the updated schedules: 📚  Central Elementary : 7:55 AM - 3:15 PM 📚  Conway Middle : 7:55 AM - 3:15 PM 📚  Gaston STEM Leadership Academy : 7:55 AM - 3:15 PM 📚  Northampton County High School : 8:00 AM - 3:10 PM 🚌  Bus pick-up times in the morning will remain the same , but please note that bus drop-offs will be a little later than usual.   • Required Teacher Workday for Traditional Calendar - ...

    Tomorrow, Tuesday, January 21, 2025, all Traditional Calendar schools will have a Required Teacher Workday.  Students will not report to school.  However, Northampton County Early College students have a regular school day and those students will report to school on their regular schedule.  All Traditional Calendar schools will return to school on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.

  • Holiday Break: December 23, 2024-January 3, 2025

    Northampton County Schools will observe the winter holiday break from Monday, December 23, 2024 through Friday, January 3, 2025.  All students will have an early release tomorrow, Friday, December 20, 2024 at 12:00 noon.  Traditional Calendar students will return to school on Monday, January 6, 2025.  Early College students will return to school on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Have a safe and happy holiday break!
