Help your community show up for success with these best practices for reducing chronic absenteeism

Wendy Mirbod: Director of Customer Success

Happy 2019! We’re going to start the new year with a Meet the Team series. We’re so excited to kick off this series with Wendy Mirbod, our Director of Customer Success!

She oversees the Customer Success Team at ParentSquare, saying that “customer happiness is our number one goal at ParentSquare. Here in CS, we are fortunate to work with and see the great things schools are doing everyday and provide them with the tools they need to build a robust school community.”

What are three things still left on your bucket list?

I did a lot of traveling prior to having my three kids. I really want to travel out of the US more. I have travelled to most of Europe but would like to visit Thailand, Australia and Costa Rica.

Do you have any pets?

Yes, a dog, Cocker Spaniel, named Cassie. She is one of the ParentSquare mascots and hangs out every day beside me. I call her “my fourth child.”

If you could magically gain one talent, what would it be?

Definitely to sing! I am so envious of people who can sing.

What are some small things that make your day better?

Positive People – when people around me are happy it makes my day. It is so much easier to be positive and happy.

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I grew up with a pretty plain American diet and wasn’t really exposed to other cultural foods until I met my husband at 21. He was born in Iran and introduced me to Persian food. I love it and could eat it everyday.

A memorable ParentSquare moment?

This memory goes way back to the beginning of ParentSquare. The founder (Anu) and myself had boys on a youth basketball team at the time. I remember sitting in the bleachers with Anu and talking about the school-to-home communication platform she was building and testing out at her son’s school. We talked about how important it was for working parents to be part of the school conversation. That was 8 years ago!

What do you like most about working for ParentSquare?

My favorite thing about working for PS is working with school leaders. District and school leaders are such a hard-working group and only want to do what is best for their students, parents and staff. I love seeing all their innovative approaches to education.
