Meet Vince Szopa, he is a Senior DevOps Engineer!
What teacher impacted you the most? Why?
My acting teacher Beth May. She taught us to never be fully satisfied and to always challenge ourselves on bad choices, careless choices and, most of all, good choices. Creativity is boundless.
If you had to teach a subject, what would it be?
Screenwriting.
What words of wisdom would you pass onto your childhood self?
Failure is OK, just learn from it and tolerate it in others.
In what ways are you the same as your childhood self?
I’m still full of wonder and bewilderment at how people can be.
Favorite restaurant?
Mashiko (West Seattle, Japanese); Saffron Grill (Seattle, Indian)
Where did you grow up?
Muncie, IN and Detroit, MI. Later NYC and Tokyo.
If you could travel anywhere, where would you go & why?
London: lots to see there and a gateway to Europe.
What’s your favorite holiday & why?
Thanksgiving, for family and food and winter feasting, not the attached history.
If you could magically gain one talent, what would it be?
Written and spoken fluency in a few languages by choice, changeable daily.
Favorite movie and/or book?
Ratatouille
