Now on the ParentSquare iOS app, create and send Urgent Smart Alerts with just a few taps. Choose from a library of previously created messages or enter the text for your new message, and send. Alerts will be sent to families immediately as a text, email, and phone call.
Typically, posts on ParentSquare notify parents in their preferred method: app, text, or email. For especially time-sensitive information, it is important to be able to reach parents immediately, in more than one method.
To help prepare for these cases, we have added a new “Urgent Smart Alert” capability on the iOS app. This urgent alert reaches families immediately via mobile phone text, email, and voice.
We hope schools and districts never need to use this capability, but we’ve added it just in case. When instances like these do happen, parents and families are pleased when they are being updated with accurate information in a timely manner.
