ParentSquare announced today that it is now a signatory to the Student Privacy Pledge, endorsed by President Obama, the National PTA and the National School Boards Associations committed to protecting the privacy of student data.
The Pledge is a list of 12 commitments that ParentSquare has made to affirm K-12 student data is maintained in a secure, private and responsible framework.
The Pledge was developed by the The Future of Privacy Forum (FPF) and Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) in October 2014 with guidance from school service providers, educator organizations, and parent groups.
“We’d like to commend you on how strong your privacy policy is– it’s rare that we review policies that don’t have at least some issues to work through before we can add a company as a signatory.” Lindsey and Sara, Privacy Fellows from FPF.
“We are very excited to be a signatory to the Student Privacy Pledge. We are committed to protecting student data privacy for students, parents, and schools.” said Anupama Vaid, Founder and President of ParentSquare.
