Natasha Osborne: Software Engineer

Meet Natasha Osborne, a Software Engineer on our tech team!

Do you have any pets? If so – what kind? What are their names?

I have two cats named Lily and Pyrrhus, and a corn snake named Callie

Would you rather explore a new planet or the deepest part of the ocean? Why?

Normally I would pick ocean whenever possible, but in this case, I pick exploring another planet. Exploring the deepest part of the ocean would be amazing, and it would add to our knowledge of this planet. But being able to explore a different planet (especially a ‘Goldilocks’ one) would help test many hypotheses and assumptions about life elsewhere and potentially the nature of our Universe.

Favorite restaurant?

A Colorado Restaurant in Fort Collins called Spoons. I don’t eat there as much now that I live in Broomfield, but I love them.

What words of wisdom would you pass onto your childhood self?

Natasha with her husband, Jonathon

Failure is an important part of success. Don’t be afraid of failures; embrace and learn from them.

Where did you grow up?

I was born and lived in Philadelphia until I was about 9 years old. Then my family moved to the Cayman Islands, where I grew up.

What are you most likely doing on a Saturday afternoon?

Playing some kind of video game with my husband or in the mountains hiking.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go & why?

Australia. I have always wanted to dive the Great Barrier Reef!

Natasha and her siblings

What are three things still left on your bucket list?

Dive the great barrier reef, write a science fiction novel, run a marathon

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Dumplings, from all the kinds of cuisine

If you could magically gain one talent, what would it be?

I would want the ability to see the true nature and state of the Universe!
