Nancy Gallardo: Regional Director

Nancy Gallardo

Meet Nancy Gallardo, Regional Director here at ParentSquare! She manages sales for FL, SC, VA, MD, and DE.

What words of wisdom would you pass onto your childhood self?

You are perfect at being YOU – so at the very least, do THAT:)

If you had to teach any subject, what would it be?

I would teach photography. I love anything that allows people to be creative. Photography has such a range of expressive outlets and it’s always fascinating to me to see how they can be discovered, often by accident, in a picture.

Favorite restaurant?

My favorite restaurant is Pasquals in Santa Fe. It’s a small Southwestern/Mexican cafe that has the most amazing comfort food. It’s always packed. I have their cookbook and love it!

Where did you grow up?

I was born in St. Louis, Missouri. I grew up in the restaurant business – my dad was an entrepreneur and a very hard worker. I started working when I was 10 taking peoples coats and eventually worked all positions – it was a fun way to grow up. At one point our family had a sports bar which made us huge Cardinal fans.  I can’t say I’m a hockey fan but winning the Stanley Cup last year was pretty exciting.

What are three things still left on your bucket list?

1. Study Muay Thai in Thailand. My son did this and when I learned more about it I became very interested in the whole experience. 2. Study comedy. I took a class and did a bit of stand-up, it’s hard! I’d like to take another class and develop/perform a sketch that I’m proud of. 3. Hike a portion of the John Muir trail.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go & why?

I love to hike, I mean really hike…camping, cooking, tents – the whole bit. I go every year…usually. COVID prevented it for 2020 but I’m dying to go again soon – I think Yellowstone?

If you could magically gain one talent, what would it be?

I’d choose to have a photographic memory because I could learn anything easily – at least I think I could??

Favorite book or movie?

Love Actually.

What are some small things that make your day better?

It constantly amazes me how little things can make a huge difference in your day….flowers on my desk…a text from my kids, and music all make my list:)

What do you like most about working for ParentSquare?

The company spirit and enthusiasm.

Nancy has been at ParentSquare since December 14, 2020.
