January brought about some exciting product updates. Highlights include built-in translation capabilities for Forms and Permission Slips, easier targeting when creating Posts through the Mobile App, and Rich Text Formatting for Auto-Notices.
Forms & Permission Slips: Built-in Translation
Previously, if a form needed a translated version, administrators would create separate forms in each language and send them to the parent group with the matching language preference. This can take a lot of time for schools and districts supporting a large number of languages.
Now, ParentSquare administrators can set up different language versions for a Form or Permission Slip, and send it to their target audience once. Parents will receive the Form or Permission Slip in the language that matches their preference. This also applies to any form templates in your library that are used across your district or school.
ParentSquare already provides two-way direct messaging translation, two-way translation of all post messages, and we’re happy to extend this important K-12 capability to Forms as well!

Send Posts Faster Through the Mobile App
In ParentSquare, administrators often send posts and announcements from their phones. Now, it’s faster to find the recipient group(s) you want, especially for site or district administrators with permissions for all school, class and group recipient lists!
Auto Notices with Rich Text Formatting
We now support HTML formatting for email Auto Notices. Now, when you type the description you are able to add custom formatting to the text:
What are Auto Notices?
ParentSquare Auto Notices allow schools and districts to set up automated messages to parents with student-specific information. These can be customized for any need such as truancy letters, lunch balance notifications, overdue book fees, and student athlete physicals.
Recent Remote Learning Use Case: In the recent example below, a district used rich text formatting in their Auto Notices to parents about scheduled tutoring sessions for students that would benefit from additional support.
This is an Example of Student-Specific information in an Auto Notice.
