What are some small things that make your day better?
Kombucha, warmth (sunshine), some form of raw fish (ceviche, tartare, sushi, etc), violet flavor, labradorite, writing a weekly menu, buying tea, setting wellness goals, snail mail, whole eggs, happy strangers, good bread and cheese.
What are you most likely doing on a Saturday afternoon?
Biking to Deep Sea Tasting Room to drink wine and play board/card games by the ocean.
If you could be one fictional character, who would you be?
Ayla from Earth’s Children series. Smart, good with animals, picks up languages easily, plant medicine knowledge, a little magical (but not too magical), social, athletic, charismatic, TONS of crafty skills.
Would you rather explore a new planet or the deepest part of the ocean?
The ocean because if you’ve ever watched any discovery shows on deep sea life it’s nuts! Just as cool (maybe cooler) than outer space and definitely a closer commute.
What’s your favorite holiday?
Halloween because I get to dress more like myself 🙂 I love glitter!
Do you have any pets?
I have two dogs: Peanut, a chihuahua-lab orphan pup I bought with Christmas money when I was 14 years old and Khuno, who followed me on an off-trail week long backpacking trip in Peru. He was such a great dog I decided to ship him home. Khuno is the name of the Incan god for high altitude weather.
What are three things still left on your bucket list?
1) Visit Venice and…
2) The Great Barrier reef before it’s gone
3) See the Northern Lights
In what ways are you the same as your childhood self?
Still a stubborn little fairy, still think I’m going to do everything eventually.
What is the nerdiest thing you do in your free time?
Learn things… right now I’m in the middle of a 150 hour Master Herbalist Course where I’m full on taking notes and tests.
What do you like most about working for ParentSquare?
The people and culture but I really like it all!
Evan has been at ParentSquare since December 2nd, 2019.
