Elizabeth Garcia: Marketing & Events Coordinator

Meet Elizabeth Garcia, Marketing & Events Coordinator here at ParentSquare!

Do you have any pets?

I have a golden retriever named Belle. She’s 6 years old and loves to go on long walks, swim, and steal our socks when we aren’t looking.

Favorite restaurant?

Loquita in Santa Barbara. It’s a Spanish restaurant that has the best paella. I also discovered a small restaurant called Vini e Vecchi Sapori when I was studying abroad in Florence, Italy. I went there at least once a week and everything on the menu was amazing, especially the fried artichokes.

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in a small town in the SF Bay Area. I have always loved visiting San Francisco on the weekends, since it’s just a short car ride away.

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Nachos. The nachos from Freebirds in Santa Barbara are my favorite!

What are three things still left on your bucket list?

Sky dive, swim with sharks, and travel.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go & why?

Switzerland. I visited while I was studying abroad and it was the most beautiful place I have ever been. I even got to go paragliding over the mountains.

Favorite movie and/or book?

My favorite movie is My Cousin Vinny. It’s absolutely hilarious.

What are some small things that make your day better?

My dog, my friends, going for a walk, seeing the sunset on the beach, and a nice home cooked meal.

What is the nerdiest thing you do in your free time?

I am a pretty big baseball fan, specifically the Oakland A’s. My grandpa had season tickets for over 40 years, so I have been going to games since I was little. I love to watch the games with my dad, and we are always talking about the players. I’m hoping we can go to some games soon!

One thing you cannot live without?

Chapstick.
