Cara Stanislaw: Account Manager

Meet Cara Stanislaw, Account Manager here at ParentSquare!

What teacher impacted you the most?

As a freshman in college I was still undecided on my major. I took an Intro to Philosophy class and the professor really inspired me and sparked this love of learning and critical thinking in me. I ended up majoring and getting my degree in Philosophy.

Do you have any pets?

I have 5 pets. Two rescue dogs from Spain, Maya and Ronni. I also have three rescue cats, Lizzie, Dylan, and Black Jack. Dylan is named after one of my favorite artists, Bob Dylan.

What is your favorite holiday?

Cara and her nearly 2-year old daughter, Lennox, at their Thanksgiving celebration

I really love Christmas. I love driving around and looking at Christmas lights and there’s nothing better than waking up and everything outside is covered in a blanket of snow. It’s pretty magical.

If you could have dinner with anyone (dead or alive) who would it be?

Brandi Carlile. I absolutely love her music and her voice. She’s such a strong woman figure and I really admire her.

What are some small things that make your day better?

First thing in the morning I get up and go into my daughter’s room. That always brightens my day. She’s always so cheerful and ready to take on the day. I love that about her.

If you could be one fictional character, who would you be?

Rory Gilmore. I am a huge fan of Gilmore Girls. I share Rory’s passion for school and traveling and she seems like she has a pretty great life.

Cara and Lennox at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood.

What is the nerdiest thing you do in your free time?

I make my own dog food. I’m really big into the fresh food movement so my dogs eat either a raw diet or a cooked diet made from fresh, whole food ingredients.

What do you like most about working for ParentSquare?

I have a passion for academics and I really enjoy working directly with users to help them out in any way I can. Since starting at ParentSquare, I’ve gained a whole new appreciation for the work that admins and teachers do on a day to day basis and I love connecting with them and (hopefully!) making that work a little bit easier for them.

Cara has been at ParentSquare since March 25th, 2019.
