Meet Araina Malhotra, an inside sales manager here at ParentSquare!
What teacher impacted you the most? Why?
The teacher that impacted me the most was my high school AP English teacher, Ginger Williams. Her energy for literacy was incredibly contagious, solidifying my present-day love for reading.
Do you have any pets? If so – what kind? What are their names?
I have a 5-year-old Snorkie (Miniature Schnauzer and Yorkshire Terrier mix) named Cookie.
What are you most likely doing on a Saturday afternoon?
On a Saturday afternoon, you’d find me hanging out with my family at a local park, entertainment venue, or hiking trail. When they’re too cool to hang out with me, I enjoy catching up on my favorite reality TV shows (guilty pleasure) or reading the latest inspiring novel.
What are three things still left on your bucket list?
Three things on my bucket list include: unwinding in a natural hot spring, swimming with sea turtles, and becoming a published author.
If you could travel anywhere, where would you go & why?
My current travel obsession is visiting Taipei, Taiwan. I want to take in the culture, architecture, markets, all while having a riverside glamping experience.
What’s your favorite holiday & why?
My favorite holiday is Halloween! It’s the one time of the year that I can convince my family to join me in dressing up as our favorite pop-culture references. I also have an affinity for all things spooky (I love to visit old cemeteries and crypts).
If you could magically gain one talent, what would it be?
If I could magically gain a talent, I would want to be a horseback rider. I love being out in nature and would love to learn how to tame such a powerful animal.
Favorite movie and/or book?
For all the RomCom folks out there, my favorite movie is Serendipity.
Favorite quote?
My favorite quote comes from Alice in Wonderland: “Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.”
One thing you cannot live without?
I cannot live without the love and support of my family! They inspire, motivate, and challenge me daily to become a better version of myself.
