Ready, set, go! Start your year off strong with the Back-to-School Checklist for School-Home Communications

Another Busy Summer at ParentSquare: Here Are Some Exciting Updates To Know

We had a wonderful (and busy) summer at ParentSquare, and now that the race back to school has settled a bit, we’ve had time to reflect on some of the exciting things we accomplished, and what’s ahead. Let’s dive in!

ParentSquare continues to grow

For the second year in a row, ParentSquare was named to the Inc. 5000 list, ranking No. 763, up from No. 1060 last year. For those of you who don’t know, the annual Inc. 5000 list is a hallmark of entrepreneurial success and it highlights the fastest-growing private companies in America.

Thanks to our incredible customers and their evangelism—sharing their love for the ParentSquare platform far and wide—we’ve seen a 665% growth in revenue and a staff increase in response to our growth of 525% over the past three years. Go team!

This recognition is also a testament to our dedicated staff, innovative communication solutions, and the continual feedback from our customers to ensure ParentSquare is the best unified school-home engagement platform in K-12. For that and so much more, thank you!

We have a new CTO (and he’s awesome!)

Peter Hamilton

Our new chief technology officer, Peter Hamilton, brings over a decade of experience in software engineering and technical strategy to his new role at ParentSquare. But before he became our CTO, Peter served as our vice president of technology at ParentSquare (and Remind prior to our acquisition earlier this year).

We’re excited to see Peter set and accomplish big goals while he continues to drive stability, security, and operational efficiency at ParentSquare. Welcome to the leadership team, Peter!

Studio Editor made its big debut

We know educators rely on newsletters to keep parents, students, and their community up to date on important events and happenings in school and across the district. That’s why our team created Studio Editor and we couldn’t be more proud of our new build-a-newsletter tool that allows post authors to create engaging, beautifully designed newsletters and posts within ParentSquare—at no additional cost.

Don’t have the graphic design skills to pay the bills? No problem! Studio Editor is a drag-and-rearrange tool that features an array of prebuilt templates and themes to make it easy to create professionally-designed looking posts and announcements, while saving time on design, and money on expensive newsletter tools.

One of our favorite parts about Studio Editor is that now districts can maintain a consistent brand while giving newsletters a customized look and feel that truly reflects their diverse communities. And speaking of diversity, Studio Editor also offers translation support in over 100 languages so parents and caregivers can receive the same newsletter as everyone else, but in their home language. Teachers, principals, and administrators can even see how newsletters perform—including delivery and engagement statistics—to ensure they’re reaching every family.

Studio Editor is yet another way ParentSquare is improving its product offerings to help ensure families get the right message, in the right place, at the right time (and it looks great!).

“Studio Editor is a huge win—so easy to navigate and it produces a very colorful and attractive post. I saved my template and will be improving it as I go along and learn more.”

Our user conference was a total success & there’s more to come!

PSQ Summit, formerly known as Square Camp, is our annual user conference and our team had a blast hosting PSQ Summit Central this summer in Oklahoma. Over 200 K-12 educators and ParentSquare users joined us for two jam-packed days of inspiring keynotes, exciting breakout sessions on school-home communications best practices, design and engagement tactics, and so much more. Guests also had full access to Support Central, where they could troubleshoot issues, ask questions, and share their feedback with the ParentSquare team.

When we surveyed attendees, over 98% reported that they would attend another PSQ Summit, with many of them indicating they would also bring a guest the next time, yay! But the best feedback we gleaned from the survey was that 94% of attendees felt more connected to the ParentSquare team and other school attendees, which is what PSQ Summits are all about: connection.

Join us at PSQ Summit East or West

Would you like to experience a PSQ Summit for yourself? There are two more chances to attend one in 2024. We’re hosting PSQ Summit East on October 3-4, at the Mohegan Sun Resort in Uncasville, Connecticut. Or if the West Coast is more your style, we’re hosting PSQ Summit West on December 9-10 in sunny San Jose, California.

PSQ Summits are perfect for you if you use ParentSquare or Remind as part of a school or district, or if you’re passionate about school-home communications, staff communications, parent engagement and/or community engagement.
