Meet Amber Heffner, our Business Development Manager! Amber collaborates with other teams in ParentSquare to help develop partnerships and ideas.
What words of wisdom would you pass onto your childhood self?
Remember that growing up in a small rural community and learning customer service in the family grain elevator business will teach you life skills that you’ll never learn anywhere else.
Do you have any pets?
Milo is our Maine Coon cat and Abby Rose and Haas are my first two #fosterfail pups. I am also passionate about rescuing. In the 6 months, I have fostered 5 different puppies and successfully found loving families for each of them. Consider fostering! It is SO rewarding!
If you could travel anywhere, where would you go & why?
I would return to Europe and explore beyond the U.K. The history is so rich there and it’s incredible to be surrounded by architecture, culture, arts, etc. that are thousands of years old.
If your life was a movie, what would the title be?
Keep On, Keeping On
What’s your favorite holiday & why?
Thanksgiving: It has not become commercialized and it’s a time when family can come together and truly enjoy the purpose of just being together.
Favorite movie and/or book?
A Wrinkle in Time
If you could dedicate your life to solving one problem, what would it be?
Ending poverty. The impact that poverty has on children can last a lifetime. As an educator, I saw how that one issue alone held back so many kids.
Favorite quote?
“Whether you think you can, or think you can’t…you’re right.” Henry Ford
One thing you cannot live without?
Music

Culture and purpose are important factors in being inspired professionally for me. It was clear early on that ParentSquare understands and values a culture focused on its people and is driven by an important purpose. I am excited to be a part of this growing company who values its employees and what they can contribute to its success.
