August Release Round-up: Daily Health Screening Forms, Shared Post Templates, School-wide Conference Sign-ups

Release Roundup is a list of what we’ve released in the last month! Here are the features and functionality we added in August:

Daily Health Screening Forms and Enhancements

After releasing in-built COVID-19 Daily Health Screening forms at the beginning of August, we spent the rest of the month listening to our users and building enhancements, based on their needs and feedback.

Customizable form fields, adjustable temperature thresholds and admin notifications for positive results are some of the enhancements added recently. Please see the full list here.

For instructions on how to set up or use Daily Health Screening Forms, see our FAQ (login required).

Schedule School-wide Conferences, Pick-ups or Drop-offs

Need to schedule school-wide pick-ups or drop-offs, due to circumstances surrounding this school year? ParentSquare’s Conference Sign-ups, traditionally used for parent-teacher meetings, now supports school-wide sign-ups as well as by class or grade. Those with Admin permissions will now see their school as a recipient option for conferences.

Smart Alerts To Build Your School Brand

When you send a Smart Alert (important, time-sensitive update or reminder) to parents over email, now it will show the school name in the “Sender” field, instead of the post author. This provides a better visual cue to parents when they see it in their inbox.

Share Post Templates Across The District

As the amount of information that needs to go home stays high due to COVID-19 and distance learning scenarios, we added a feature to help you create consistency across your district.

The district office can now create and share Post templates with their schools. Login for more details.

  • Templates can save staff and teachers time and make it easier for them to produce good looking, easy-to-absorb posts.
  • Parents with more than one student will thank you, too, as they’ll know what to expect no matter which school (or teacher) is posting.

For more details on the features above, customers can visit the ParentSquare Support Site (login required). You will find the latest platform enhancements under What’s New!
