Here are some of the major changes released to the ParentSquare platform in October. Please reach out to us if you have any questions or need a closer look!

Have Families Opted Out of Your School Directory? Extend It To ParentSquare.

Feature • Mark students as unlisted to hide them in the directory.

In schools with a public directory, certain parents in your school community may wish to opt out their students completely. Now, administrators can mark students as unlisted so they do not appear to other parents.

Easy Undo for Appreciating a Post

Enhancement • Click Appreciate a second time if you want to undo it.

Sometimes users appreciate a post by mistake and want to remove it! Now users can simply click Appreciate a second time to undo it. You’ll see the details update immediately.

At the bottom of a message, clICK Once to Appreciate, CLick AGain to Undo your Appreciate.
At the bottom of a message, click Once to Appreciate, Click Again to Undo your Appreciate.

Save Time with Default Recipient Settings


Enhancement • New setting to allow school’s to configure default recipients

Based on user feedback, we now allow schools to define their default recipients for new messages. Recipient options include staff, parents, and/or students. From the Add-ons page, under “Post”, Admins can set their default recipient options for posts sent by their staff.
