Tony Williams: Engagement Manager

Meet Tony Williams, our superstar engagement manager here at ParentSquare!

If you had to teach a subject, what would it be?

I taught English for about 11 years before I switched to edtech.

Do you have any pets? If so – what kind? What are their names?

Two pets. Carl is a lovable Boston Terrier, and my wingman. Madame Fluffington is our cat.

What are you most likely doing on a Saturday afternoon?

Depends on the season. We have lots to do in Upstate New York, depending on the season. If it’s outdoors, we’re doing it.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go & why?

Some place tropical, maybe Fiji.

Tony with his wife and two daughters.

Would you rather explore a new planet or the deepest part of the ocean? Why?

I’d rather run the risk of being abducted by aliens than looking to my left and being startled by something like an eel or (God forbid) a shark. Therefore, I’m going to space.

Favorite movie and/or book?

The Outsiders, by SE Hinton. I taught this book for years. It speaks to just about anyone who has felt disenfranchised and alone. Amazing to think that she was only 17 when she wrote it.

If you could be one fictional character, who would you be & why?

Jack Skellington. That swagger!

What are some small things that make your day better?

Fires in the fireplace, coffee with maple syrup, things my kids do, books.

What’s your favorite holiday & why?

Christmas! It’s all about the kids.

What do you like most about working for ParentSquare?

I worked for ParentSquare as a Summer Trainer. I liked working with a responsive team on projects that allowed me to be outgoing and creative.

Tony has been at ParentSquare since December 6, 2021.
