This summer, school administrators and staff from all over the country will gather ‘round the campfire—virtually—for ParentSquare Summer Camp. Last year, over 3,500 “campers” attended Summer Camp to prepare for back-to-school with valuable professional development and training.
This free and virtual training experience is ParentSquare’s most comprehensive and exciting professional development opportunity of the year. Summer Camp offers unique sessions for teachers and administrators that are customized to ensure a thorough and specific training on relevant ParentSquare features.
ParentSquare Summer Camp helps administrators and teachers level up their ParentSquare skills by learning how to use its core features and training resources. During the five-day customized summer camp experience, campers complete professional development activities and ParentSquare training. At the end of the course, participants receive a five-hour professional development certificate.
What’s the schedule like?
This summer, there are four week-long camp sessions: two for administrators and two for teachers. Each beginning on a Monday, campers will complete four days of asynchronous content, delivered to their mailbox each morning. This Summer Camp content includes training videos on ParentSquare features, back-to-school tips and activities to complete within the platform.
On the final day of Summer Camp, campers “gather ‘round the campfire” via Zoom to participate in competitions, network, hold discussions and win prizes. Campers are also encouraged to participate in Camp Bingo throughout the week to win some exciting prizes, including lounging gear, ParentSquare swag, a National Parks pass and more!
NEW Campfire Sessions
New to Summer Camp this year are the optional “Campfire Session” webinars, which will take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays beginning at 11:00 a.m. PST/2:00 p.m. EST. These 30-40 minute virtual webinar sessions will provide a space for deep dives, connections and questions. Administrators and teachers will each engage in unique Campfire Sessions throughout the week, covering a variety of relevant topics and resources.

- Admin Best Practices: In this session, we will demonstrate simple tasks yielding big ParentSquare results. Learn about managing departments, all the add-ons, and so much more. Bring your questions!
- Video Solutions for Education with MyVRSpot: Share your videos with purpose and privacy through MyVRSpot, an official ParentSquare partner.
- ParentSquare + Canva: Better Together: Did you know that transformative graphic design platform, Canva, is FREE for all educators? Join our team and Canva’s Amy DeLair to learn how to use these tools to improve school-home communications. You won’t want to miss this one!

- Canva + ParentSquare: A Make and Take: Now that ParentSquare has partnered with graphic design giant, Canva, your communications have never looked better. Follow along to learn about our collaboration, get your free account, and complete some guided practice.
- Teacher Best Practices: Join your counselors as we share our favorite tips and tricks to get you started right with ParentSquare from the start. Bring your questions!
- Give the People What They Want: Pleasing Parents: “Parent” and “Partner” aren’t that far off from each other. Learn to please your parents, engage them, and cultivate a “parents as partners” culture. Your parents will thank you.
Engaging and Fun Professional Development
ParentSquare Summer Camp is designed to provide a big impact while remaining a fun and casual experience for all participants.
