Help your community show up for success with these best practices for reducing chronic absenteeism

December Changelog: Exciting updates to Dashboard Reports just rolled out!

Written by Anupama Vaid & Zareena Zaidi

Changelog is a roundup of everything we’ve released in the last month. This past month’s Changelog is especially exciting:

Introducing History in Dashboard

So you’re in a meeting and your boss asks you, “How much has communication improved with ParentSquare?” 😱 or perhaps you simply want to know “What kind of posts does my school community engage with the most?”

You no longer need to wonder! ParentSquare now provides “History” in dashboards for your district and schools to help you answer questions and use data to further improve school communication.

Up to this point, ParentSquare’s dashboard has always shown the most current data and metrics. Now you can view historical graphs and progression, from the time you started using ParentSquare.

Here’s a look at the new dashboard sections:

See how you have been able to improve the number of parents you can contact with ParentSquare’s reports on Contactability. These reports let you know which students have no contactable family members — through any means — email, text or app notifications.

The report below shows how your parents are receiving your communications and how this has evolved. It is clear here that more and more parents are adopting the app.

We are very excited to be able to show you graphs that compare your current year usage to previous year’s usage. These are designed to help you make sure you have either kept at the same level or improved the use of ParentSquare.

SIS Partnership: eSchoolData

We are so excited to announce a new partnership with Student Information System eSchoolData! If your school uses eSchoolData, our API integration will make sure all information updated in eSchoolData will transfer over to the ParentSquare platform — ensuring accuracy and consistency across your contact data.

Student Attributed Groups

You can now create all sorts of groups based on student attributes! For example, you can create a group for the 7th grade GATE program or 11th grade Concert Choir.
